Twenty-five years between London, Milan and Rome in the service of art: guiding collectors, artists and institutions in discovering, caring for and giving value to works.
An art advisor and exhibition curator, Simona Brusa has made art and its markets the centre of a career built between Italy and Europe. Born in Varese in 1970, she graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano — a discipline that shaped her eye for form and space.
It was in London that this eye found its vocation. She worked at Sotheby’s, in the Old Master Drawings department, and went on to Agnew’s on Old Bond Street. During those years she collaborated with the Art Loss Register — the database of stolen works of art — on the search for and recovery of paintings lost during the Second World War, working alongside the Carabinieri Art Squad and the Italian Interministerial Commission.
In 2000 she was appointed to the Royal Collection at St James’s Palace, as assistant to the curator of paintings and miniatures, with exhibitions at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. Returning to Italy in 2003, she began a long collaboration with Galleria Carlo Orsi in Milan, curating displays for the major international fairs — the Biennale dell’Antiquariato in Florence, Masterpiece London, TEFAF Maastricht, Flashback Turin. Since 2015 she has lived in Rome, where she has worked with Galleria Alessandra Di Castro in Piazza di Spagna.
Today, based in the capital, she works with artists, galleries, museums, foundations and auction houses. Since 2025 she has been a board member of the Chiesa degli Artisti in Piazza del Popolo, Rome, and Technical Advisor for cultural diplomacy in the parliamentary sphere.
A touring curatorial service that brings contemporary art into spaces of excellence — hotels, private banks, boutiques, restaurants, professional practices.
Works are chosen individually for each space, installed with museum care, and rotated every 60 to 90 days. Transport, installation, labelling, removal and making good are all handled: the host carries no management burden, and nothing is asked of the staff.
Why it works, in one line: rotation creates a recurring event that the host does not have to organise. Someone returning after three months finds something that was not there before.
Among those who have chosen it: Singer Palace Hotel, Banca Patrimoni Sella & C., Credit Suisse, CAMPOMARZIO70, SAFIRA and Azimut Capital Management.
